The main path to St Mary's is temporarily closed
for safety reasons,
because of the unsafe state of the yew tree.

Help Save the ancient
yew tree at St Mary's
The 2000-year-old yew tree at St Mary's,
one of the oldest in the country,
is in a dangerous state.
Supporting posts have rotted
and there is a risk of big branches
coming away, causing
The cost of remedial work
by specialist contractors
is likely to be around £6,000.
Please make a donation
to save this beautiful and important tree
for the enjoyment of future generations.
